Printer Driver MAC

This PPD installer is used to install a PPD (Postscript Printer Description) file on Mac OSX. PPD files contain descriptions of printer capabilities such as paper sizes, number of input trays and duplexing. Once the PPD file is installed on the system using the PPD installer, the PS driver that comes bundled with Mac OS X can use the information in the PPD to control the print device and enable full functionality. Please see the Readme file for information about compatibility with versions of Mac OS X.

This package includes files used to reproduce specific colors using Pantone color management. These files include color palettes, color charts, calibrated look-up tables, a text-file describing the CMYK values of each color, information about settings and a manual.

This utility searches for available printing devices on the network, downloads the applicable printer driver through Internet and installs it to the PC with the minimum operations. PCL6 and PostScript3 drivers are available with this utility but Universal print drivers are not available.

Note: PCL6 Driver for Universal Print v2.0 or later can be used with this utility. Earlier versions or other printer drivers cannot be used with this utility.
